What can I watch?

You can watch a growing line up of 35+ channels plus catch-up on some services to allow for global time zones.

What do I need?

  • a mobile phone, tablet, computer or connected tv device (Apple TV, Fire TV Stick and Roku)
  • good internet connection
  • your defence gateway login

To allow full use of the services provided by BFBS on deployed operations, personnel may set their VPN to a PED green country other than the UK, in accordance with the PJHQ PED Policy.  Personnel who are required to use a VPN should regularly check the theatre specific guidance and technical information on the PJHQ PED portal.

BFBS TV Player does also work from within the UK, or on a UK VPN, but only limited TV channels will be available due to rights restrictions required by our broadcast partners.

Download the latest version of the BFBS TV Player from the App Store or on Google Play and then login to the new BFBS TV Player using your Defence Gateway login and password.

You can watch online in your usual web browser here. You will need your Defence Gateway login to access the player.

Watch with connected TV apps

BFBS TV apps are now available to install on your Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku devices!

Search BFBS on your device, install the app then register using your Defence Gateway email address. You will then be sent an email to complete the registration process. 

As with the other apps, if you are using a VPN you may set it to a green country other than the UK, in accordance with the PJHQ PED Policy, in order to use the full range of services.
