For decades, Winton kept this completely quiet, until in 1988, the TV show ‘That’s Life’ reunited him with many of those he had saved. Tim Humphries spoke with Labour peer Lord Alf Dubs, one of those rescued and who went on to know Nicky personally who also campaigned for him to be knighted to find out more.
