Operation Bee Sting

Save the Bees

In an exciting collaboration with the British Beekeepers Association; the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force have each unveiled a unique redesign of their vehicles. This is being dubbed “Operation Bee Sting”.

The yellow and muddy-brown CARC paintjob is designed to visually replicate the stripes of a bumblebee to raise awareness of the instrumental role the insect plays in our ecosystem.

While this choice in colour scheme is in stark contrast to the more muted tones of most defence vehicles, it comes at a pivotal time when environmental awareness is more important than ever before.

The addition of these vehicles marks a new dawn in the UK’s commitment to our charitable organisations and environmental protection; and is an exciting start to a wide array of potential campaigns to raise awareness by the British military - both at home and abroad - of worthy causes.
