BFBS Academy Graduation

On Friday the 6th of August, the 4th Year of the BFBS Academy’s Creative Media Production course successfully graduated. With speeches delivered from BFBS CEO, Simon Bucks, Head of BFBS Academy, June MacMahon and Director of BFBS Creative, Adam Waters, families watched on as each of the nine students gladly received their certificates.

It's been a tough year, with the course starting during lockdown and initial lessons delivered remotely. With the easing of restrictions in relation to education establishments, the students finally came together on the 8th of March to study at the Academy itself. Working together, with the support of dedicated team of tutors and support staff, the cohort put together an array of short fictional films, podcasts, adverts, documentaries, interviews, game shows and more.

As always, a graduation is a bittersweet moment with both the celebration of having reached the end of a hard earned qualification but also the goodbyes as students head off to start, what will no-doubt be, a successful career in the creative media industry.
