My Daddy’s Going Away
An Army officer who served in Iraq has published a book to support fathers and their children forced to spend long periods of time apart.
Written by Major Christopher MacGregor, My Daddy’s Going Away was inspired by a poem he wrote while being separated from his children during a six-month tour of duty in Iraq in 2007. Endorsed by Prince Charles, who wrote the foreword, the book is complemented by a website for mothers and fathers to learn more about the separation period.
