What sort of programmes are on the channels?
BFBS1 has a bit of everything, from chat shows to soaps, dramas to news, documentaries to sport. We carry the BBC News channel overnight.
BFBS2 is a 6-hour block of programmes which repeat around the clock. Home to shows like CSI and the Simpsons, sci-fi and comedy.
BFBS3 KIDS does exactly what it says on the tin, and includes our own Room 785 with birthdays and competitions for Forces children worldwide.
BFBS4 is our movie channel. Two movies a day, which repeat around the clock.
As well as BFBS1 and BFBS2 at your local time, we also give you the 'undelayed' channels to create more choice at any one time, and also to let you watch sport on those channels live.
Then there are our carriage channels - direct live relays of two Sky Sports channel, a music channel and Sky News.

How do I receive BFBS TV?
BFBS TV is delivered by DTT at MPA, This means you'll just need to take a 'Freeview' box with you, although you can now buy them locally. Most new TVs have an integral digital tuner, so you won't even need a Freeview box. If you are taking a laptop, a USB stick (such as Freecom) to let you watch DTT on your laptop costs around £35. This will also require an external aerial and co-axial cable. All these items are available on the internet from websites like Amazon, who will post to BFPO addresses, and are under the 2kg BFPO limit. Make sure you follow their BFPO address guidelines
