Mike Howarth

His first job was working in a pub kitchen washing up and smelling of grease. Nowadays he sits in a padded room with a microphone. Still smelling of grease.
He has travelled around the Forces world and some key experiences include falling over in his dressing gown in the snow (running to the toilet in Bosnia) and accidentally throwing a chicken curry and rice all over the mess table on his first night in Cyprus. We no longer talk about the time he sat down in the same mess the day after with a bread roll and a bowl of ‘soup’ (which turned out to be custard).
Mike can be heard on The Daily Drill from 6:30am UK time every weekday. Probably talking about food.
