An estimated 10 new members of the Armed Forces are being treated for mental health issues every day.

A debate about the extent of the problem among veterans saw the Government under fire from MPs today for being too reliant on charities.

The Ministry of Defence says it recognises the importance of providing everything possible to support those that have left the military.
