Three blind or partially sighted veterans have been selected to carry the Olympic Torch during its 5,000-mile journey around Britain this Summer.

The three have all been helped by the St Dunstan's military charity. It's helped them adjust to life without sight and once again live independently despite their disability.

Two of them - Darren Blanks and Simon Brown - have been talking to Forces News about their journey from frontline to recovery and their pride at fighting back from battlefield injury.

Both men have severely restricted sight, nominated to carry the torch in recognition of their inspirational attitude.

The third St Dunstaner picked is veteran, colourful character and entertainer Billy Baxter.
