The residents of the new Personnel Recovery Centre at Tedworth House in Tidworth are preparing for Christmas.

Forces News has been given special access inside to see its facilities, including a state-of-the-art gym to help wounded soldiers reach the next phase in what can often be a long road to recovery.

The changes have seen a massive transformation since Help for Heroes took over the site in February, but there is still plenty of work to do.

Outside construction of a new accommodation wing is well under way and should be ready for next year, together with the state-of-the art Phoenix sports centre.

It costs around £2.5 million a year to run Tedworth House but those who use it say it is worth every penny. See tonight’s special report on British Forces News.
