Help for Heroes is celebrating after being voted among the top five brands in the country.
The accolade comes after a poll among the public and marketing professionals.
It is the first ever charity brand to be shortlisted since the award was launched in 2007, and made the top five along with Apple, Innocent, British Airways and John Lewis.
The charity has also risen to fourth place in the 2011 Charity Brand Index - up from 18th in 2010.
Bryn Parry, CEO and Co-founder of Help for Heroes said, “This latest recognition is a wonderful and unexpected accolade. To even be considered alongside the country’s leading brands is an amazing achievement for a four-year old charity.
“We are very proud of the way Help for Heroes has captured the imagination of the British public who have taken us to their hearts and raised over £118 million for our wounded Servicemen and women. Our iconic medal logo and the beloved Hero bears have become rallying calls for the British public’s support for our Armed Forces. From Mount Everest to a supermarket in Gateshead you will find an H4H banner or wristband.
“Providing support to ‘the blokes’ is an enormous responsibility but one we are privileged and ready to take on. We have much more work to do to ensure they receive the support they deserve, for life, and hope the public will continue to support and place their trust in us to deliver. The continuing strength and recognition of the H4H brand will help us achieve this.”
