Duchess of Cornwall honours Navy medics

The Duchess of Cornwall has presented medals to military medical personnel for their service in Afghanistan.

Between April and October 2011 they provided medical care at Camp Bastion hospital in Helmand province.

Acting in her role as Commodore in Chief, Royal Naval Medical Services, Camilla arrived by helicopter to inspect a parade of the medics at their base at HMS Excellent in Portsmouth.

200 Royal Navy and Royal Marine personnel and 18 from the Army and RAF were presented medals.
