The clock’s ticking for a group of women we’ve previously featured on British Forces News. Former Olympic gymnast Suzanne Dando and seven other intrepid ladies will march across the Central Pyrenees next week, to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

The team will trek Le Chemin de la Liberte - a route used by World War 2 resistance fighter and
’super spy’ Nancy Wake in 1943, when she slipped through the clutches of the Gestapo on her way to safety in Spain.

To honour Nancy and the continuing sacrifice of service personnel, the women hope to raise a hundred thousand pounds.
