Royal Yacht Britannia springs a leak

An emergency effort to pump water from Royal Yacht Britannia is beginning to correct the list the vessel has developed at its moorings in Edinburgh's Leith docks.

The yacht was tilting on its starboard side by four degrees after suffering a leak in a door seal. She was due to be moved just a few hundred metres across the harbour to dry dock for painting this morning when the problem was spotted.

It's the first time she's been moved in almost 14 years.
