The Confederation of British Service and Ex-Service Organisations (COBSEO) is in place to represent, promote and further the interests of all service and Ex-Service men and women of all ranks and their spouses and dependants by all practical, legal and proper means including:

a. Exchanging and coordinating information internally.

b. Acting as a point of contact for external agencies to COBSEO members.

c. Identifying issues of common concern, particularly welfare matters, and coordinating any necessary and appropriate action.

d. Representing and supporting the needs and opinions of its members, individually and collectively at Central and Local Government levels and with other agencies through the Executive.

The membership is made up of 97 Organisations ranging from the Aden Veterans Association to Veterans Aid and 65 Regimental Associations from the AGC Association to the Yeomanry Benevolent Trust. COBSEO represents the whole Serving and Veterans Community - Some 3.4 million people and their dependents. Membership of COBSEO is open to all those organisations whose purpose is to promote and further the welfare and general interests of Service and ex-Service men and women and of their dependants, subject to agreement by the Executive.
