British Forces News is BFBS Television's flagship programme - the Forces' own 'window on the world', transmitted live every weeknight at 1830 CET on BFBS1.

Presented by Kate Gerbeau and Matt Teale, the programme runs for half-an-hour. It's a Forces news magazine - covering all the issues of warfare, defence policy and military strategy that you'd expect. We report live from Afghanistan regularly, where we're the only broadcaster to have two journalists permanently based at Camp Bastion.

British Forces News also informs on issues relating to welfare and family across the deployed world. We're big on sport and military history too. There's forces entertainment news and even a regular gadgets slot.

Our Forces News team operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week from our studios in Buckinghamshire. As well as the reporters in Afghanistan, our News Producers and presenters in Bucks work with our journalists throughout Germany, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, and across mainland Britain.

We've BFBS news contributors in the Falkland Islands too, as well as Canada, Gibraltar, Belize and Brunei.

As well as the live programme on BFBS1, British Forces News is repeated elsewhere in the schedules of our BFBS channels each day. Check our TV listings for the latest information. Click here now to view the latest edition of British Forces News.

We also broadcast news updates on the hour, every hour, around the clock on BFBS Radio. During breakfast (UK time) we've bulletins on the half hour too - at 04:30, 05:30, 06:30 and 07:30.
