VICKI'S PROFILE
Originally, Vicki wanted to be a print journalist - but after a go on the University radio station and realising she loved the sound of her own voice, she decided radio was the media outlet for her!
A year of hard slog followed, doing various shows on various stations for no money whatsoever and still no 'break through,' - Vicki gave up radio and turned to TV - becoming the assistant to the Producer on a Channel 4 drama starring Christopher Eccleston.
It was while Vicki was working on that programme in Liverpool, her phone rang and she was offered a breakfast show in Cambridge. And she returned to her first love, radio.
After a successful stint as Breakfast show presenter at Q103, then a spell as the Drivetime presenter on 97.6 Chiltern FM, BFBS offered Vicki a position in the UK presenting their flagship programme, which was a news based show. Her most memorable moment in the job was reporting on 9/11 within minutes of the second plane going into the World Trade Centre.
News broadcasting is now her main priority - although Vicki also presents a Saturday sport and entertainment show too - which provide an outlet for the stranger side of her personality...
Vicki loves dogs, especially Labradors, she wants to own a house in Southern France one day and would like to convert her garage into a kitchen.
