MARK'S PROFILE
Mark has been with BFBS for four years. Although he has been based in the BFBS newsroom for most of that time, Mark has presented many of the network's programmes. For two years he fronted the weekly showbiz round up- The Source.
Previously, Mark has been responsible for launching and presenting on commercial radio stations across the UK. In Sussex he found his love of watersports and the sea, which has since become his playground! During his time working at a radio station in Cornwall Mark tried (and failed) at surfing but not wanting to give up he donned the wetsuit a few more times and discovered Body boarding. At this point he's very quick to mention that true body boarding is very different from the sport families attempt at holiday camps each summer...! Body boarding involves launching a small foamy board off the waves, into the air and performing a range of stunts- non of which Mark is any good at. His other love in the water is kayaking. When he's not working at BFBS Mark is often on the open road in his VW camper van - Margaret.
When not wet and cold Mark's a TV anorak who loves Doctor Who, Torchwood and Heroes. He's a cider drinker who loves to cook -especially if the recipe involves cider, probably because very little of the cider actually ends up in the finished product.
