ANDREW'S PROFILE

It's been a career of two halves for Sport & News reporter Andrew Cheal. The first half was spent in press & public relations work, including a short time as a Whitehall spin doctor (or rather wet-nurse to the Minister!) Then came five years as a local radio sports editor in Suffolk, and nine years with Independent Radio News where he reported on two World Cups, two Olympic Games, two royal funerals, and many other major events.

Andrew regularly reports from Wembley and Premier League grounds. However, he still regards the item he did on the national pie-eating competition as the highlight of his work for BFBS Radio!

By complete accident he became a Birmingham City fan many years ago, and is still a Bluenose today!
