A man from County Tyrone has been charged with possessing explosives commonly used in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Patrick Carty, 32, from Coalisland, was arrested in the aftermath of the murder of PSNI constable Ronan Kerr last year.
Today a court was told that his fingerprints had been discovered on a plastic liner wrapped around a device, which was described as having been new to Northern Ireland at the time.
Supporters of Mr Carty applauded as he was led from the dock.
