The SNP, Wales's Plaid Cymru and Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party have met senior UK military commanders to discuss cuts to defence.

The fate of RAF Leuchars, Fife, and RAF Lossiemouth, Moray, has been unclear since the UK Government ordered cuts to RAF spending, though the MOD insists no decisions have been made.

Officers from the different armed forces met Westminster SNP leader Angus Robertson, Westminster Plaid Cymru leader Elfyn Llwyd and the Democratic Unionist Party's Ian Paisley.

Speaking after the talks, the Scottish National Party's Westminster leader Angus Robertson said Scotland had suffered "disproportionate" defence cuts in recent years.
