Soldiers in Northern Ireland are among the first to benefit from a deal between the MOD and budget airline easyJet for military discounts on excess baggage.

Signed earlier this week the partnership means troops will get discounts valid for 29 destinations across the the easyJet network.

The airline carries more than 50,000 MOD passengers a year and - among the destinations included in the new scheme - is Belfast.
