Soldiers from 1 YORKS in Münster have started a 48-hour gym endurance event in Oxford Barracks.

The four-man team will row, cycle and run around 1200 kilometres during the next two days to raise money for Help for Heroes.

They were joined at the start of the event by children from Oxford School who helped to bump up the distance.

The majority of the battalion are currently deployed in Afghanistan on Op Herrick 15.
