Around 300 soldiers from 5 RIFLES have donned fancy dress for an early morning sleigh race around Alanbrooke Barracks in Paderborn.

After a snowball fight, Santa’s little helpers set to work.

Each of the Battalion’s Companies built their own sleigh, designed to carry their OC and Sergeant Major on a snowy and rather precarious sleigh ride around the camp.

The festive session also raised money for Care for Casualties - the RIFLES charity which supports injured soldiers and their families.
