The Commander of UK Support Command has acknowledged the uncertainty those based in Germany have had to cope with this year.

Major General Nick Caplin, who from January will head the new Headquarters of British Forces Germany, said it has been a busy 12 months dominated by operations, redundancies and planning the withdrawal of British troops.
