40 jobs to go at BFG Fire Service

In Germany, the closure of Rhine Garrison within the next few years means the shutting down of two Defence Fire Service stations.

Around 40 posts will disappear at Elmpt on the Dutch border and in the Rheindahlen Military Complex.

Many of the fire fighters are now being retrained so they can work for German fire brigades.
