MoD extends maintenance contract for HMS Clyde

The contract for the maintenance of the Royal Navy’s patrol vessel HMS Clyde has been extended.

BAE Systems has secured a £59 million deal until 2018 for the vessel, which is based in the Falklands.

Mick Ord, Managing Director of BAE Systems' Surface Ships division, said in a statement: "Our ability to deliver repair and maintenance services to warships wherever they are around the world provides real value to the Ministry of Defence."
