7 month patrol for HMS Edinburgh

Portsmouth-based Type 42 destroyer HMS Edinburgh has sailed for the South Atlantic for 7 months where she will patrol the British South Atlantic Islands, including the Falklands and South Georgia.

On route, the newly re-fitted Edinburgh will call at the Cape Verde Islands and a variety of countries off the West coast of Africa before arriving in the Falklands later this summer.
