An international conference is underway in London aimed at bringing together the best advances in trauma care from the military and civilian worlds.

More than 500 delegates from across the world are attending the Combat Trauma Innovation conference.

The Surgeon General is among those who have taken to the stand.

Surgeon Vice Admiral Philip Rafaelli talked to Forces News on Wednesday about the key medical advances in combat trauma care.
