It has seen Britain’s finest down the years, from General Montgomery to Harry Secombe and Henry Cooper.
But last night, the iconic Tidworth Garrison Theatre hosted 12 brave forces acts to raise money for service charities.
More than 600 followers packed into the Garrison theatre to cheer on entries from 2nd Battalion The Royal Welsh, the REME, the Royal Engineers, 4th Battalion The Rifles, RMP and the Royal Signals.
Predictably, there were a couple of Elvis look-alikes, an Amy Winehouse wannabe, a pretend Freddie Mercury, as well a classical pianist, a singer songwriter and a rock and roll band.
Tidworth has indeed got talent, but it was a Kings Royal Hussars band 'Permanent Send' who were judged the best act by a note.
But the real winners were SSAFA Forces Help, the Royal British Legion and ABF, The Soldiers Charity - who will benefit to the tune of over £5000.
