Victoria Cross hero Johnson Beharry has glided through to the semi-finals of the ITV programme Dancing on Ice.
The former Lance Corporal impressed the judges with his performance of Goodnight Sweetheart with his partner Jodeyne Higgins. He received a score of 19.5, his highest score of the series so far, for the performance which required him to use both a hat and and umbrella.
Judge Jason Gardiner told him that he handled his props “with such finesse.”
Johnson Beharry was awarded the highest military decoration for bravery in 2005 after braving intense fire to save the lives of dozens of his colleagues in Iraq. He was the first soldier to receive the honour in over 20 years.
You can watch Dancing on Ice on BFBS 1 on Sunday evening at 7.30 CET.
