Joanna Lumley has been given a special award by a Welsh county with a special association with the Gurkhas, for her work with veterans.
The actress - whose father was a Gurkha officer - received the award and certificate from Powys council at a ceremony in London, for her "exemplary achievement".
Joanna Lumley fronted a successful campaign for UK settlement rights for Gurkhas.
The Gurkhas have strong ties with Powys - the Gurkha Company (Mandalay) has been stationed in Brecon since 1974.
The actress was presented with a special Powys gold kite award and a "certificate of appreciation" at an event at the Palace of Westminster.
Speaking afterwards, she said: "I feel very honoured to receive this award and will wear the gold kite brooch with pride."
