Last week the Defence Secretary Philip Hammond told the Defence Select Committee that he will respond to the Future Reserves 2020 study in the new year.

In the summer the government pledged a "build-up" of reserve soldiers – an estimated 30,000 by 2020.

Forces News has spent the day with the 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers on exercise in Cyprus to see if they think it can happen.
