The Definition of 'Entitled Audience'
The purpose of this document to provide guidance to as to who is entitled to receive BFBS TV reception equipment and access to BFBS Welfare TV and Radio servuices.
BFBS will provide TV services to the entitled audience as defined by the BFBS Broadcasting Contract. The entitled groups and individuals are as defined in that contract as follows :
1. Members of HM Forces deployed overseas, and those deployed on HM Ships;
2. UK based MOD civilian support staff working overseas;
3. Dependants accompanying MOD personnel serving overseas and who are members of the same household;
4. Staff and pupils of schools operated overseas under the aegis of the Service Children's Education Agency (SCE);
5. Members of the Brigade of Gurkhas in the UK;
It is important that these definitions are complied with as the Programme Rights Holders, who allow BFBS TV to show their programme content, have given their permission based on the entitled audience definition above.
It is also essential that the term 'MOD civilian support staff' is understood, as this is not the same as 'MOD Civilian Contractors'.
