Forces Cinemas 4-wheeled Fundraiser
SSVC Forces Cinemas, with the generous support of Disney, have been hosting special charity screenings of Pixar's latest animation Cars 2. Disney kindly agreed to supply the film free of charge meaning 100% of all ticket proceeds could be donated to the five Big Salute charities.
Audiences responded with great generosity as thousands filed through the doors in a run that took in 17 screenings at 16 sites across 6 countries, adding an impressive £9000 to the Big Salute total.

BFBS presenter, Gini Carlin, trained with the 7 Regt RLC Boxing Team for a month, to raise money for the Big Salute, enduring gruelling circuit workouts, as well as skills, pads and sparring sessions. Gini said: “Believe it or not I quite enjoy it. Nothing really focuses the mind like being chased around the ring by a cruiserweight!” Watch a report on Gini on British Forces News
Sgt Mick Rimmer raised more than £1700 for the Big Salute by running the world's highest Marathon in the Himalayas.

Attendees took a trip back to their school days on Tuesday 11th October at Casemate's square in Gibraltar to raise money for the Big Salute. The night was a great success with a fantastic quiz, school uniform fancy dress and an after-class disco!
CSE Rocked the Tattershall Castle boat with their Comedy Club fundraiser on Wednesday 2nd November raising over £1600 for the Big Salute. The line-up featured some of the hottest UK comedians including Geoff Norcott, Carl Donnelly, Geoff Boyz, Bob Mills and The Noise Next Door.
The BFBS Radio UK Auction day was a huge success with hundreds of items being sent to happy bidders around the world raising over £11,000 for the Big Salute.
