The Big Salute raises money for 5 vital forces charities: BLESMA, Combat Stress, FAB, Veteran's Aid & St Dunstan's.
The 2011 BFBS UK Auction took place in October and raised over £11,000 from the On-Air Appeal day on the 14th October. Fantastic fundraisers have been going on all around the world throughout the year, why not host your own fundraiser?

WANTED: Signed Guitar...
The Wanted boys came into BFBS and signed this Squier (Fender) Acoustic Guitar to be auctioned off to raise vital funds for the 5 big Salute Charities - Thanks Guys!
The Guitar comes with authenticity from the BFBS Music department and was signed by all 5 members of the wanted on the front (top left) and illustrated by Tom with doodles of each member (top right) on the back.

CSE Comedy Club
On Wednesday 2nd November 2011 the CSE, Combined Services Entertainments, team put on a special comedy club in London as a fundraiser for The BFBS Big Salute.
The night was a huge success, and the 5 performers quite literally 'rocked the boat' at the boat-turned-bar venue, Tattershall Castle on the Thames Embankment in London. Attendees were treated to 5 hilarious performances from a star-studded cast consisting of Geoff Norcott, Carl Donnelly, Geoff Boyz, Bob Mills and The Noise Next Door.
A great night was had by all at the show which demonstrated the important work performed by the CSE team day-in, day-out and of course, all proceeds went to the 5 vital forces charities supported by The Big Salute.
